In partnership with Bridport24 - Town of Culture, on September 28th 2024 Chasing Cow and Common Practice hosted an evening of outdoor film and talks about the commons and shifting landscapes at a temporary pavilion built by Common Practice in Asker Meadows Bridport.
The event featured a guest talk by author Susannah Walker about her new book The Hard Way as well as her work with the charity Make Space for Girls. It also featured a talk by Jack Cardno and a short Super-8 film by Fred Warren about the accidental rewilding at the Foundry Lee housing development site near Bridport, with a live accompaniment by musician Aidan Simpson.
The films were projected onto a beautiful hemp rope screen made by Jack - thanks to Dawe's Twineworks, West Coker, for providing some of the twine!
